There was some space available in The Field and along our property fence line, so we decided to plant some fruit trees that would produce tropical fruit and native hardwoods that would produce specimen sized trees at some point. Instead of growing the same trees that the rest of the industry grows in South Florida, we decided to specialize in the more rare trees producing tropical fruits, such as Jak fruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus) which will only grow here in southern Miami-Dade County, 'Black Diamond' waxy apple (Syzygium samarangense) that we obtained from Taiwan, various cultivars of Lychee, the rare Annona reticulata (red custard apple), a large fruiting variety of Canistel campechiana (eggfruit) from Fairchild's Kampong, and various Mango types that we prefer for form and flavor. The native hardwoods such as "Lignum vitae" and "Simpson's stopper" would act as a wind break on the outside of our fence line.

We are growing the trees directly in the ground and do not offer any containerized plant material.
